She unlocked the door and on the way to the kitchen removed one shoe then the other. She wasn’t physically tired it was a mental tiredness she was fighting as she slid to a stop at the counter. She grabbed an already open bottle of wine and a glass before retiring to her comfy chair. She put her feet up and realized how good it felt while massaging her feet with each other. “Those heels better pay off,” she thought. She sat there sipping her wine and reluctantly reached over for her laptop to check her email. “Damn it!” She said out loud. The very first email was from her boss about a meeting with her in the morning. “On Friday? Why can’t we have these meetings on Monday, Everyone already hates to go in on Monday. “This will surely ruin my whole weekend.”

That really wasn’t possible though, Diane’s weekend was a blank. She didn’t have anything planned with anybody. She didn’t even have a dog or a cat to keep her company. She didn’t lament about being lonely, no, she would just end up sitting in her comfy chair all weekend reading romance novels, like she did last weekend and the weekend before that.
Oh well, a ruined weekend is one thing, but Kurt is going to be all up in me saying I’m late again, damn, he’ll mess with my stuff again and I’ll be all afternoon getting things set up, only to tear everything back down for the weekend.
